Calorie Calculator

Estimate your daily calorie needs (TDEE) based on your personal information and activity level.

How Calorie Calculation Works

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which is considered the most accurate formula for estimating your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - the number of calories your body burns at complete rest.

Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is calculated by multiplying your BMR by an activity factor. This represents the total calories you burn in a day including all activities.

  • To lose weight: Eat 500 calories below your TDEE (1 lb/week loss)
  • To maintain weight: Eat at your TDEE
  • To gain weight: Eat 500 calories above your TDEE (1 lb/week gain)

Important Note

This calculator provides estimates based on standard formulas. Individual metabolism varies. For personalized nutrition advice, consult a registered dietitian or healthcare provider.
